Bio

A pretty, huggable African-American child actress, Keshia Knight Pulliam brought precocity and good comic timing to the role of Rudy Huxtable, the youngest of the kith and kin peopling NBC’s highly popular sitcom, “The Cosby Show” (1984-92). Over the course of the series, she literally grew up before the eyes of audience, moving from a cute little girl to an attractive pre-teen. As Pulliam aged, she branched out in to TV-movies, appearing as “The Little Match Girl” (NBC, 1987), starring in a distaff remake of “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” (NBC, 1989) and playing the title role in “Polly” (NBC, 1989), a musical loosely adapted from the 1960 Disney film “Pollyanna”, and its 1990 sequel “Polly Comin’ Home!” (NBC, 1990). After a period out of the limelight, she reemerged as host of the 1996 CBS special “Where Are They Now Part 2″ as well as reuniting with her former onscreen parents Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad in a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom “Cosby”. In 2002, Pulliam was cast in her first role since graduating from Spelman College. She portrayed the character Temple in the made for television drama “What About Your Friends.”
