British born Naomi Campbell has conquered the fashion industry and achieved iconic status around the world with her incomparable physique and electrifying presence. Since stepping into the limelight over 15 years ago, she has set runways and magazine covers ablaze with a sophisticated, sultry style and singular no-nonsense attitude that together have made her an international celebrity and fashion authority.

Discovered on the streets of London’s Covent Garden when she was just fifteen years old, Naomi soon had the entire fashion world clamoring to capture her inimitable look. Her first cover shoot was for British Elle. Naomi was the first black model to appear on the covers of TIME magazine, and French and British VOGUE, She has worked with the greatest photographers in the world including Patrick DeMarchelier, Steven Meisel, Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, Ellen von Unwerth, Mario Testino and Peter Lindbergh.

Naomi has walked for the greatest designers and has fronted campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Versace, Jazz, Francois Nars, Dolce & Gabbana and Dsquared. Because of her iconic status, Naomi was recently chosen to headline the campaign of hip-hop brand Rocawear. She is also fronting the current lingerie campaign for H&M, and will be fronting the Louis Vuitton campaign alongside Kate Moss and Amber Valetta for Spring/Summer 2004.

1978- Appeared as pupil for in a music video for Bob Marley’s “Is This Love”.

1986- At age 15 signed to Elite Model Management and began career as a runway model. Appeared on the cover of Elle Magazine.

1988- Appeared on the cover first black cover girl of Vogue Paris, Vogue UK, Vogue Nippon and Time magazines.

Early 1990s- Was apart of the original supermodel collective called the Big Six

1994- Co-wrote the novel Swan with author Caroline Upcher

1995- Campbell released her debut album, Baby Woman, which sold over 1 million copies worldwide, mostly in Japan.

2000- Introduced the first two of her seven perfumes, Naomi Campbell and Naomagic.

2000- Pled guilty in a Toronto court for assault when she threw her cell phone and struck her former assistant Georgina Galanis.

2005- Helped create and participated in Fashion Relief, raising over a million dollars for Hurricane Katrina victims

2006- Went to court for allegedly slapping another former assistant, Amanda Brack, and assaulting her with her Blackberry cell phone in 2005

2006- Was arrested for allegedly assaulting her housekeeper with a jewel-encrusted mobile phone, resulting in a bloody head that required several stitches.

2007- Hosted the South African leg of Live Earth in Johannesburg.

2008-Was arrested inside a London airport on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after one of her bags had been lost.

In August 1988, she appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris as that publication’s first black cover girl. In addition to Vogue Paris, Campbell also became the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue UK, Vogue Nippon and Time magazine.
In total, Campbell has appeared on more than 500 magazine covers.
